Bible Journaling

Christmas Bible Journaling Tutorial

Hi there!

First things first, I have a little announcement! If you’ve been following me on social media you may know already that my life is pretty chaotic this month! Husband will be returning from his six-month deployment soon (hallelujah!) and then we are promptly making our big move from Japan back to California! All with the holidays looming 🙂 . *insert excited (but panicked) squeal*

So, to be able to focus on this new adventure- and reintegrating with my husband, because let’s be honest, I love him a bunch, but I have gotten used to living alone and not having to clean up his toast crumbs!- I decided to take a short break from the blog for the holidays!

BUT, I will be giving away Holiday Bible journaling printables all month long to my email subscribers! Be sure to sign up for those freebies by clicking here!  UPDATE These free printables have been discontinued!

Use this free printable in your bible or for other art purposes! Merry Christmas!

This week I have a video to go along with the free printable! We will be painting a beautiful winter cardinal into our journaling Bible. I have included a free outline sketch to use just like I have in the video tutorial below (or found here). However, if you don’t like to cover up the words in your bible, or are not a bible journaler, I have a full-color image that you can print out and use as a tip in, or put in a 6×8 picture frame!

If you are using the sketch for Bible journaling, you, of course, can use it in any way that you like, it doesn’t even need to be for Christmas. For my bible page though, I worked on Luke 2 verse 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (KJV). Luke 2 is about Jesus’ birth and the angels appearing to the shepherds. It makes my heart happy every time I read it!

I also want to encourage you, if you feel like using watercolor in your journaling Bible is too intimidating, that you CAN do it! And using a traceable like this one is a great place to start! I will also mention, that you do not have to use paint to make use of the traceable, you can also use colored pencils or markers or whatever you are comfortable with! You can even just use it as a coloring page! I pray that you just have fun with it and enjoy the time spent in the Word.

So don’t forget to sign up for my email list!

To follow along on my adventure this season, and for more bible journaling inspiration, be sure to follow me on Instagram, or Facebook! I’d love to keep in touch with you over there. I’ll see you after the new year!

Blessings, Jenna
