Easy Watercolor Flower- Aster- Bible Journaling With Me

My favorite things to paint in my Bible are flowers, but honestly, I don’t know how to paint very many types of flowers quite yet! I usually revert to my easy roses, or simple florals that I have done tutorials of before! But, if you have been following me for a while, you know I’m all about branching out and trying new things! So I’m walking my talk and have been practicing some other types of flowers.

Today I have a “Bible journaling with me” video for you. It shows one of the new flowers I have been learning. I’m honestly not completely sure what this type of flower could be, but when all is said and done, I think it’s daisy-like or possibly a type or Aster flower!

Bible journaling tutorial- easy watercolor flowersI encourage you to give this one a try! It may take a little practice, but you can do it! And I gotta say, one of the fun things about not really knowing what flower you are trying to make, is that all we are trying to do is create something that looks like it could be a flower! We are really just trying to create the impression of a flower. If your anything like me, going for an impression, instead of an exact replica, really takes the pressure off and makes it easier!

To stick with the impression idea, I also didn’t add leaves. Instead, I just painted a green background around the flowers to give an idea of greenery, without having to worry about leaf shapes.

This time, I finished off my page with one of the I AM power words from my shop (I printed it out on sticker paper, cut the word I was using out, and stuck it on my page- super easy!), and some simple notes on the verse I was working on.
