A while ago I did a “Watercolor Vines” Bible journaling page that included a free printable. The main concept of the page was to use the printable as a guide, and just color over it with watercolors (or colored pencils or acrylics). It takes a little bit of time, but it is so relaxing and creates a perfect opportunity to kind of zone out and focus on praying, worshiping, and meditating on scripture.
It turned out to be one of my most popular free printables and I have been meaning to do more pattern Bible journaing pages. So today I finally have a new one!
This time I went a more geometric route and added more colors to create a bright and vibrant Bible journaling page. It was SO MUCH fun and an ahhhhmazing time with the Lord.
The thing I love so much about this page is that by changing up the colors, or using less or more colors than the three I used, you can make this page look completely different! I am so excited to do pages with this pattern over and over again. (Be sure to follow me on Instagram or Facebook, because I’ll be posting future pages there.)
Of course, I am including the triangle pattern that I created and used for you to have for free.

The Tutorial
Some Things To Note
I used my Interleaved Bible for this page which has full blank pages, but if you don’t have that Bible you could absolutely make a really cool background by tracing just a smaller section of the printable into the 2″ margin. You also could create a tip-in, or do it in a separate notebook/piece of paper completely!
I used watercolors, but you could also use acrylics or colored pencils!
To make this page a little more mindless, so that you can really get in the zone, choose just one or two colors. I think doing this design with one or two more muted colors would look really pretty.
Alternatively, If you want to get really advanced with it, throw in extra colors. It will be tricky to stick with the pattern, but could be fun if you like brain puzzles!
Last thing, because this is one of those backgrounds that is pretty busy, it can be hard to read lettering/handwriting on top of it. Making the colors more muted is one option. Or you can skip some of the triangles to leave a blank spot to add your verse/prayer/thoughts.
