How To Paint Easy Watercolor Roses- A Remake

Way back in November 2017, just a couple of months after I started this blog, I did a post on how to paint super simple watercolor roses. It is still one of my most popular videos on YouTube and a post I’m really proud of.

But, that was almost three years ago! I have learned so much since then. So I thought I should do a little updated rose tutorial.

Today’s tutorial

Previous tutorial- This one is great to check out for the clear step-by-step painting process.

The basic steps are still pretty much the same and if you are a complete beginner, I totally encourage you to check the original tutorial out because it really breaks it down into the simplest steps.

The biggest difference from my roses then and now is that I now make my petals bigger and I don’t stress so much about making the perfect overlap. My style has changed overall to be more relaxed. (Which has helped me to enjoy the process and not get upset if something doesn’t turn out as I imagined- and also stay focussed on worshiping God and not the art).

The Tutorial

So, below you’ll find my new video on painting easy roses! It’s still simple enough for the beginner!
